As one of the top South Texas fishing guides you can charter Captain John’s services in the Laguna Madre area. You’ll be outfitted with all the equipment you’ll need for a great day on the water.

Captain John specializes in fishing from Rockport to Port Aransas down to Baffin Bay. Baffin Bay fishing is well known for the large trophy size trout that sport fishermen love to catch.

Types of fishing you might enjoy:

Wade Fishing

If you enjoy wade fishing bring your waders and you’ll have an opportunity to maximize your fishing experience on the Texas Coastal Bend. You’ll be fishing some extreme shallows for those Redfish & Speckled Trout along some grassy shorelines.

Drift Fishing

There are certain fishing spots that are great for drift fishing. As Captain John’s boat drifts with the current you’ll fish for those schools of redfish and speckled trout for some great action. You’ll also learn some great drift fishing techniques to benefit you for those future fishing trips.

Anchor Fishing

Captain John will also anchor up at some favorite fishing spots that produce some great catches of the day.

Captain John specializes in artificial baits and lures. He’ll show you many different techniques for different types of fishing that will improve your fishing skills for years to come.

Fishing Cabins

Captain John can also make arrangements for a fishing cabin rental. Stay over night in the Baffin Bay area for a total fishing package. Fish all day, then fish from the cabin, fish next day. This is the Fish, Fish, and Fish Package.

There are several cabins to choose from and the cabin pictured is not necessarily the cabin that will be rented.

Wherever there's water he will fish it!

John operates a 22' Mosca and travels the saltwater's of the Upper Laguna Madre for Redfish, Speckled Trout or Flounder and ventures into the fresh waters of the Choke Canyon Lake or Mathis Lake for Black Bass, Crappie, and Catfish.

Captain John has fished these waters for several years and truly enjoys the great outdoors that South Texas has to offer. Currently enjoys a long career with the Corpus Christi Police Department as a Senior Police Officer. Volunteers his time as Director of the Corpus Christi Law Enforcement Fishing Tournament (CCLEFT) each year.

Terms: Your card will not be charged until 7 Days prior to the trip. No refunds available during the 7 days leading up to trip. Captain reserves the right to cancel trips do to weather conditions. If trip is canceled by Captain, refunds will be available or reschedule trip at customers convenience.
